“Revolution”: Ève-Marie, the aspirant who eliminated Willow

Aspiring Ève-Marie Dalcourt officially joined the ranks of “Revolution” stars, Sunday evening, by eliminating Willow during face-to-face matches.

The contemporary dancer, established in the Netherlands for eight years, stood out with her conceptual number presented both right side up and upside down.

“I found that it was a beautiful gateway to show the versatility of creative work and the search for intention, and of movement,” she explained to the QMI Agency, indicating that she wanted to bring something something new to the show, getting rid of the commercial approach to dance.

Until the day before the face-to-face meetings, Ève-Marie did not know Willow at all and had never listened to the show, but her best friend, with whom she was speculating about her possible opponent, told her hypothesis that the masters would probably put her against this duo, given their style and their particular universe.

“They were the only people I knew and it’s no wonder I was against them,” she said stunned, remembering being very impressed by their chemistry as partners during the event as well as their skills. .

“But during the face-to-face meetings, I was just overloaded with emotions. It was the first time I had danced in front of my family in eight years. People were screaming and it’s really rare for people to scream when I dance. I come from the world of “concert dance”, it’s an audience that is generally very silent. But it was very stimulating,” she added, admitting to having felt a pang in her heart when she understood that she had eliminated one of the favorite duos of “Revolution”.

For the rest of the competition, the coach – who has been courted by “Revolution” for the last five years, but whose schedule prevented her from participating in the show – bet “on things that have rarely been seen on television”, allowing him to convey his inner world while remaining authentic to his way of approaching movements and his dance language.

She is for the moment, after the first face-to-face encounters, the only candidate to have succeeded in snatching the title of a star dancer.

A thrilling first round of face-to-face matches

The face-offs began on Sunday with a battle of titans pitting cabaret dancers, world champions, Jhaime and Sacha against the “salsa ninjas”, Adriano and Samantha.

Lydia Bouchard also pressed her rescue button on Sunday evening, unable to bring herself to let go of b-boy Sovann, who gave an impressive performance against Yohe and Yelda.

Amélie Albert (season 4) was no match for Cindy – the only dancer she did not want to face – who delivered a flawless number in which she applied the comments that the masters had given her. formulated at the selection stage, or to play and further embody one’s intentions.

“Revolution” is presented on Sundays, 7:30 p.m., on TVA. The show can be replayed at any time on TVA+.
