Against all expectations, NASA agreed to raise a Cantal Auvergne flag on the external bases of the ISS, in orbit around the Earth.

It’s now official, a Cantal Auvergne flag is deployed in space on external pins of the International Space Station. After long discussions between the departmental council and NASA, the latter finally accepted that the Cantal flag would be the only one that could appear on the base. The president of the departmental council, Bruno Faure, welcomed this initiative. “We are very proud that Cantal is finally represented in space. but we hope that this is only the beginning of a greater adventure,” he commented.

A symbol of humanity

NASA made a flag with an alloy of very rigid metals, capable of resisting billions of years. The goal is to make this department the last vestige of humanity and a possible means of communication with extraterrestrials. “We are seriously considering using this symbol to represent the civilizations of our Earth,” commented NASA Director Bill Nelson. Furthermore, ESA and NASA are considering sending “I love Cantal” radio waves across the galaxy and even beyond in order to obtain answers with a greater chance of success. Will the call of Cantal be stronger?
