50 years ago, Beau Dommage’s first album shook up Quebec songwriting. Stéphane Leclair revisits the impressive career of the group’s female voice, Marie-Michèle Desrosiers.
Marie-Michèle Desrosiers joined Beau Dommage as singer and keyboardist. After the group broke up, she released a series of solo records in the 1980s. She subsequently performed in the theater and in soap operas, then hosted One night star And A family resemblance on Radio-Canada television. The song came back into her life, as Beau Dommage reformed in 1994. She also recorded two phenomenally successful Christmas albums.
