The young Ruthenian team left to compete in the “Avenir” Interclub championship with lots of uncertainties and many questions. A somewhat truncated preparation, a delicate start, the arrival of a new employee, in short, multiple points which could swing to one side or the other.

And with their desire to surpass themselves, to give the best of themselves, the blood and gold have imposed themselves in the N2 U23 group. With an official total of 10,610 points, they won the regional title ahead of Adour Pyrénées Athlétisme and Tarn Athlétisme.

The total points even give hope for qualification for the French championship which will take place in Tourlaville in , in the middle of the school year, which could lead to withdrawals.

On a sporting level, it was Gwladys Bouzat from Courir en Lévezou who achieved the best score of the day, 893 points with his 10’06”64 in the 3,000m as a junior.

Everyone at their own level, with a great collective spirit, made their contribution to the Ruthenian building and confirmed all the hopes placed in them. For the next weekend, the competition returns to the Vabre track with the Occitanie relay championships, the regional specialties cup and an open meeting from the junior category.
