Armie Hammer thinks that his two children, from his former union with Elizabeth Chambers, will surely not carry their father in their hearts every day. The 38-year-old actor was sidelined from Hollywood after revelations in 2021 of his interactions with women exposing some of his most violent sexual fantasies, some of which amounted to cannibalism, and accusations of sexual assault against him .

If his two children, aged 7 and 10, are not yet old enough to be interested in this story, Armie Hammer has no doubt that it will have a negative impact on them one day. In a recent episode of the podcast Your Mom’s Housethe star of Call Me by Your Name returned to the scandal and the effects of it on her family, imagining in particular the reaction of her children in the future: “I am also aware that my daughter and my son will reach a certain point where they will follow a therapy and will say: “I hate my father too”. And I would say to myself: 'Shit! I was trying to get out of it'.

Work on yourself

In the meantime, the actor still seems to enjoy the company of Harper and Ford from time to time, as proven by a photo of his ex-wife posted this week on Instagram. The star of The Social Network appears alongside his daughter and son in front of a poster of Macaulay Culkin in the film Christmas Mom, I missed the plane!the trio imitating the hilarious expression of the boy on the poster.

Armie Hammer nevertheless tries to fight his old demons thanks to therapy, which has allowed him to better understand his behavior. “There are aspects of my behavior that, I think, came from a place that was perhaps not very healthy,” he admitted on the microphone of Your Mom’s House. “There were also aspects of my behavior that were just an expression of my own sexuality. So I had to kind of comb through all of that and figure out what was coming from a good place and what was coming from trauma.”

His work on himself also brought up some unexpected facts for him. “I think deep down, subconsciously, I wanted to get caught,” he revealed of the scandal. “I didn’t recognize myself in the image that the public had of me. Like, 'Look at them, they're like the Ralph Lauren family. They have the perfect life, the perfect house, and the perfect kids.' I felt like a fucking alien. I was liking bondage photos on my Twitter. It was like I was playing low, if you like, and I wanted to get caught. People were like, “I don't think he knows his Twitter likes are public.” I saw that and I was like, 'I know.'
