The Spanish driver of the Formula 1 team Ferrari, Carlos Sainzrecently shared a training outing with the very recent winner of the Tour of Lombardythe Slovenian Tadej Pogacar. This is not the first time that these two great champions of their disciplines have met, because the Spaniard regularly shares his outings on social networks with the 26-year-old Slovenian. The Scuderia driver recounted his meeting and his last outing with “Pogi” in the heights of Monaco.

“It was the result of a chance encounter. Tadej Pogacar told me he had planned a recovery outing after the World Championships and asked me if I wanted to go with him. I said yes. That’s when I discovered that what is a leisurely ride for him is the hardest workout of my life. And yet, I consider myself a good cyclist. Luckily, he was happy to have someone to talk to, so he didn’t leave me behind. But it’s impressive how powerful a champion he is,” concludes the Formula 1 driver.
