The Frenchman made his return to the court during the night from Wednesday to Thursday during a victory against Orlando in a preseason match.

Victor Wembanyama back in business. Two months after playing, and losing, the final of the Olympic Games with the French team against the United States, the Frenchman played his first preseason match last night in the San Antonio Spurs jersey. A first ended with a victory against the Orlando Magic (107-97).

A meeting during which the interior did not exert its talent, nor had enormous playing time with 23 minutes of presence on the floor. Enough to score 11 points and capture 9 rebounds, however with skill at half mast (4 out of 15 on shots, including 0 out of 5 behind the three-point line). After the meeting, Wembanyama confided his feelings to the American media. “I took advantage of this match to experience new things. Some actions worked, others much less but it was interesting to be able to do it because it was probably the only time of the season where the coach (Gregg Popovich) was going to forgive me for trying certain things.”
