Embarrassed by his player’s comments, Wolfsburg immediately reacted, saying that the club “is aware of its social responsibility” et that the incident a “immediately treated internally”. This is not the first time that Kevin Behrens’ family has been controversial. Last summer, during the Olympic Games, Steven van de Velde, his brother-in-law, was targeted by spectators because of his participation despite his conviction for the rape of a 12-year-old girl.
