Marc Sarreau hang up the bike! The sprinter who ran at the Groupama-FDJ last season announced it on his Instagram account. After ten years spent on the roads under the colors of the FDJ or under those ofAG2R Citroen Team between 2021 and 2023, the Vierzon region is now turning to a new project, the rehabilitation of an old barn. “2025 marks the start of a new adventure for me. I am grateful and I feel privileged to have been able to make my passion my daily life for the last ten years” he notably wrote on his social networks.

“Proud of what I have accomplished”
Turned pro in 2014 with FDJ.fr, Marc Sarreau will have left his mark on the French sprint at the end of the 2010s. On his record, we can note some great victories on classics (the Tourrangelle Wheel, Paris-Bourges and the Route Adélie de Vitré) or milestone achievements on the Tour of Poitou-Charentes (x6) and on theStar of Bessèges (x3). “Cycling has given me unforgettable moments, challenges, encounters and memories that will remain engraved. I have learned, grown, and shared this beautiful adventure with beautiful people, on and off the roads. I'm proud of what I accomplished.” At only 31 years old, the sprinter with 17 victories in his career “I know it’s time to turn the page and begin this new phase of my life” he explained on his Instagram account, sharing numerous photos of his greatest victories. “Now, a new page is being written, and I am ready to explore other horizons. The adventure continues, in a new form. Looking forward to sharing this new stage with you.”
