“I can’t wait to be in 2025 and to be able to wear this jersey… the benchmark of Spanish cycling”

Find below the full declaration of Pablo Castrillo on his arrival at Movistar. “These last few weeks have been a big step forward for me as a person, an important boost for my sporting career which has resulted in this contract with a WorldTour team like Movistar Team. They are the benchmark of Spanish cycling and it is always a special excitement to ride for this team. There were a few weeks to assimilate what was achieved in La Vuelta and in this 2024 season, which I consider to be very regular on my part. These two victories, then finding myself at the home of my new team, with this impressive Telefónica headquarters… It was all very intense and I will not forget it.

The people who are close to me and who explained to me what the team is like gave me a lot of confidence regarding this signing. I share training with Jorge (Arcas) and he explained to me how the team was inside, how they were going to take care of me and the things that were done well. My brother Jaime also told me how good it was. I approach the team with a lot of confidence and I can’t wait to get started. It’s a big step forward and I want to contribute as much as possible, do my part to keep the team growing and me along with it. I can’t wait until 2025 and being able to wear this jersey.”
