It is a name that will never be forgotten. A few weeks ago, Léon Marchand began competing at the Paris Olympic Games without realizing that he had become a superstar in his category. The 22-year-old surpassed all expectations as he won four gold medals in the Olympic pool. A performance that was hailed at the closing ceremony as he was chosen to extinguish the Olympic flame and carry it from the Tuileries to the Stade de France. A documentary entitled At the Heart of the Games reveals the behind the scenes of the last few weeks. An opportunity for viewers to learn more about the daily lives of their favorite athletes. In an excerpt released by France Télévisions, we can see the athletes getting ready for the parade at the Parc des Champions. Florent Manaudou is present and he seems determined to please Léon Marchand’s fans. “I don’t do that,” the young man says. “I was warned that Florent was the troublemaker,” he continues before adding: “I was not lied to.” Florent Manaudou can be seen, shirtless, spraying water on his body. However, this does not seem to inspire Léon Marchand.
