For several years now, the tabloids have lent the Prince of Wales an alleged affair with Rose Hanbury, former Marchioness of Cholmondeley. She had remained discreet since the revelation of this supposed affair with Prince William. But Rose Hanbury is once again in the spotlight. We explain why.

This rumor had come crack the image perfect of this couple that makes you dream so much. Prince William was suspected of cheating on his wife, Kate Middleton. This rumor claimed that the mistress of the Prince was Rose Hanburya friend of his wife and that the relationship would have taken place while she was pregnant with their third child, Louis, born on April 23, 2018.
This story started with an article from the British tabloid The Sun claiming that the Duchess of Cambridge had asked her husband to cut ties with Rose Hanbury. A former model, the latter became Marchioness of Cholmondeley by marrying David Rocksavage, a 58-year-old high-ranking nobleman, with whom she had twins and a little girl.
Rose Hanbury: Friend Turned Rival
From the height of his 39 years, Rose Hanbury is part of the close circle of the royal spouses. The two couples, who are neighbors in Norfolk, have even been photographed together at official events. However, the Duchess would now consider Rose Hanbury as her “rural rival” .
Since these rumors spread like wildfire, the bubbly 39-year-old brunette has remained discreet. However, as reported by the Daily Mail on Friday, March 24, 2023, she is now in the news again. Indeed, recently the husband of Rose Hanbury, the filmmaker David Rocksavagebeen honored by King Charles III who decided to name him lord-in-waiting, either “lord in waiting”.

Lord-in-waiting is a prestigious function which will allow him, like his wife, to attend important official and royal ceremonies. But also of represent Her Majesty at various events. The appointment comes after David Rocksavage lost his post as Lord Grand Chamberlain following the disappearance of Elizabeth II.
