Pascal Bataille lost his hair “in clumps” following chemotherapy. Suffering from lung cancer, the host of There’s only the truth that counts announced on the show Chez Jordan that he is preparing to undergo surgery.
Pascal Bataille announced on December 6 (24) that he had lung cancer in a video posted on Instagram.
“Today, I have a little truth to tell you, an important one nonetheless,” he confided. “For two to three months, I have been fighting lung cancer and, this fight, I am sure that I will win.”
Passing through the show Chez Jordan, the emblematic host of Y a que la vérité qui counts has once again demonstrated his courage and determination in the face of illness… but also the humor that helps to overcome this ordeal.
“I have an ex-wife who is wonderful and my best friend. She herself experienced cancer a few years ago. It’s a bit of a double whammy for children with two parents who were victims of cancer five years apart,” noted the man who is experiencing the first effects of chemotherapy.
“I lost all my hair that wasn’t white, that’s why I bleached a lot,” reveals the 64-year-old host, before mischievously clarifying: “In fact, white hair is left, they are the toughest ones, the bastards.”
However, there is no question of resorting to artifice. “I don’t want wigs,” he says. “I don’t want to cheat, I shaved as much as possible and I’m keeping what’s left while it lasts.”
Pascal Bataille also announced that he would undergo surgery. “The operation consists of removing a piece of lung, in this case the right lung. The surgeon will see by opening exactly, but a priori, they will remove two lobes of my right lung. I will therefore have a small part of my lung left which will continue to function,” explains Pascal Bataille.
