Tomer Sisley upset by the separation of his parents who lied to him for a long time

Guest in 1 hour with… this Saturday June 29 on RFM, Tomer Sisley recounted a very personal episode from his childhood, which deeply affected him. A stage in his life which would even have effects on his personality.

Tomer Sisley hates lies. This attachment to truth and honesty perhaps dates back to his earliest childhood. It is in any case an avenue that he explored this Saturday, June 29 during the show 1 hour with… on RFM. Bernard Montiel asked the 49-year-old actor about an element of his life that had a profound impact on him. “When I was 5 years old, my parents separated physically. My father moved to the south of France, we were supposed to join him a year later. He was supposed to find an apartment, sort out the papers for my mother who was sick, who needed health insurance, all that. A year goes by and we don’t get back to him. Two years, three years…”, explains Tomer Sisley. The man who later became an actor then lived in Berlin, where he was born, with his mother. The family situation is then incomprehensible to the little boy that he is.

Tomer Sisley no longer blames his parents for lying to him

“I didn’t understand why we didn’t live together. […] I remember my father coming back, looking for a job to come back to Berlin and live with us. He said he couldn’t find the right job. It took me around thirty years to say to myself: ‘Actually, if you really wanted to come back, you come back. It doesn’t matter if you find the right job or not. That’s not the real problem.”he now explains. Tomer Sisley assures that water has flowed under the bridge: “For this lie, I can’t blame them too much because I think they were lying to themselves. I think they were telling themselves this story that there were a thousand pretexts, but no, the reality was different.”

Tomer Sisley will soon be back on our screens

Tomer Sisley will star in a new police mini-series on France 2 next year entitled Surface and inspired by the novel of the same name by Olivier Norek. On the private side, the actor has been married to columnist Sandra Zeitoun de Matteis (now Sandra Sisley) since 2017. They got back together years after their first meeting and a first romance, in 1999. They each had children from their other unions.
