Hiro’s parents caused a sensation as members of the jury alongside Carla Bruni, Catherine Deneuve and many others.

This year, the National Association for the Development of Arts and Fashion (ANDAM) celebrates its 35th anniversary. On this occasion, Thursday June 27, the organization wanted to mark the occasion by bringing together big names to head its jury, such as Anthony Vaccarello, artistic director of the Saint Laurent house and president of this 2024 jury. “We are proud to support designers”, he assured. Among the other personalities who were invited to judge the participants, there were Catherine Deneuve, Béatrice Dalle and Carla Bruni, the filmmaker Gaspar Noé, the stylist Emmanuelle Alt, the writer Virginie Despentes but also Virginie Efira. The latter made the trip to the gardens of the Palais Royal, in Paris, in the company of Niels Schneider, her lover and father of her son Hiro.
The parents, who are rather discreet about their relationship and do not make many appearances, appear to be complicit. As elegant as ever, the actress chose to wear a brown long-sleeved mini dress with a pretty drape on the front. For his part, Niels Schneider chose a black tuxedo with fine white stripes. Together for 7 great years now, they have chosen to remain discreet. Virginie Efira confided in March 2023 to Paris Match on this subject : “The idea is above all not to transform something. If we go somewhere together, we don’t go in one way and the other through a back door (…) On the other hand, we refuse to pose expressly for a magazine and to open the doors of our home. We don’t want to sanctify our relationship. but live it as normally as possible. The mother explained that saying more about her private life would be “immodest and removed from (s)his personality”.
A major fashion event
The couple had the pleasure of seeing Christopher Esber win the Grand Jury Prize, with a prize of 300,000 euros up for grabs. The fashion designer told GQ a few minutes after his victory: “I didn’t expect this award. I’m still digesting the news. I feel very honored. The mentorship of Anthony Vaccarello, [directeur artistique de Saint Laurent et président du jury, ndlr], will help me a lot. I will also be able to open premises in Paris. And, in general, to strengthen the impact of my collections.” He succeeds Louis-Gabriel Nouchi, winner of the previous edition.
Many celebrities were present in addition to the members of the jury. We were able to see Rachida Dati, Minister of Culture, who inaugurated her first edition of ANDAM under the mandate of Emmanuel Macron. “You are the fashion of tomorrow, and you will shape it in your image, creative, diverse, open, innovative”she said. Augustin Trapenard, Alek Wek, Alexandre de Betak, Willy Cartier, Anja Rubik, Svita Sobol were also there, in the gardens of the Palais Royal in Paris on June 27.
