VIDEO – Invited on the set of “Buzz ” this Monday, November 18, the Quebecer returned to the time when she played a role in Michel Berger's rock opera, her meeting with her husband and talked about her book The survivor.

This Monday, November 18, Fabienne Thibeault was the guest of “Buzz TV”. La Québécoise, known for her role in Starmania was on set to present his latest work: The survivorpublished on November 7 by L'Archipel editions. From the set of Figaro TV, the singer spoke about this book, but also some memories of her participation in Michel Berger's musical.

Fabienne Thibeault begins her interview by deciphering the title of her book: “A survivor from birth, a survivor of accidents that I should have had and that I managed to avoid.” Indeed, the Quebecer evokes in her work her premature birth, a plane accident which she escaped, her serious health problems… The singer then mentions Christian Montagnac, her husband, who was by her side during her time spent in hospital for quadruple heart bypass surgery.

The 72-year-old singer recounts her meeting with the man she nicknamed “Doudou” and whom she married in 2015. Christian Montagnac is the former manager, producer and manager of La Compagnie créole. Fabienne Thibeault, who played Marie-Jeanne in the musical Starmania in 1975, returned to her experience in this troupe. When presenter Damien Canivez asks her if the creators expected that we would still be talking about this rock opera in 2024, the singer gives her feelings at the time. “We felt that we were bringing something strong into the world, significant songs”she delivers. “But to think that we would be celebrating a forty-fifth anniversary…”

During his participation in StarmaniaFabienne Thibeault was staying with Michel Berger and France Gall. She remembered this astonishing shared accommodation in the Beauséjour villa, in the heart of the 16th arrondissement of . “France Gall was a little stingy, but hey, I understand her. I'm not a spendthrift, but I don't think about money.”continues the Canadian. “She sent her secretary to buy a Camembert a kilometer and a half away on foot because it was a few cents cheaper! But hey, why not. And on stage, she was fantastic.”
