Just after It starts today – whose host Faustine Bollaert will join RTL at the start of the school year -, France 2 has focused on two new episodes ofDeal done on Monday June 24, 2024.

During the second of them, Julia Vignali was somewhat disconcerted by an unusual object. Emilie came to her with a statue representing a character from a comic opera. When she turned towards her, the host was surprised. “Oh it’s…”, she exclaimed. A situation which did not fail to amuse the saleswoman.

“Yes, he’s quite a mysterious man. A funny man that we found with my grandmother in our family home because she doesn’t throw anything away. We said to ourselves that he was really a funny man. of gentleman so we searched a little since she really likes this show, we tried our luck., she explained. She then confessed that she was calling “Alexandre Dumas” its object.

Caroline Margeridon did not win the auction against Jean-Baptiste Bouvier

“Ah for you it’s Alexandre Dumas?”Julia Vignali asked. “But officially, I don’t think that’s it. Historically speaking, in my opinion, it’s not him. But hey after each…”replied the saleswoman before she interrupted her: “Everyone fantasizes what they want about this little man…”

Harold Hessel ended up revealing that this statue represented Falstaff, a comic character created by William Shakespeare in 1596. The object also caught the attention of buyers of the show which was reworked behind the scenes. “Little father has a good face” et “You see, he looks naughty…”exclaimed Caroline Margeridon and François-Xavier Renou successively.

Unlike Julia Vignali, the buyer radically fell under the charm of the object and she was not shy about letting people know it. “He has a good face”, “he is so cute !”, “Come on, I’ll pay 100 euros for his good face!” et “he is so cute !”, she chanted during the auction. But it was not enough. His colleague Jean-Baptiste Bouvier won the bet by offering 160 euros to Emilie who agreed to make a deal.
