A bird in full flight. This is Angelina Jolie’s latest tattoo. Located in the middle of her neckline, it did not go unnoticed during the star’s appearance on the red carpet at the Tony Awards in New York on Sunday June 16. On the arm of her daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, the actress was sumptuous in a strapless dress by Atelier Versace.
The discreet tattoo, located at chest level, however, quickly attracted the attention of photographers. And for good reason. Accustomed to more visible or flashy tattoos, Angelina Jolie opted for once for a less striking design resembling a swallow.
A hidden message?
And if some only see it as an adorable bird, others see a hidden message – could the actress finally find her freedom, like this bird in full flight located on her chest? This wouldn’t be the first time that Angelina Jolie has created a tattoo with important meaning. For example, on her left shoulder blade, Brad Pitt’s ex-wife has a Khmer prayer dedicated to her son Maddox, born in Cambodia.
Already last year, the actress opted for two new tattoos which also had their moment of glory online. His tattoo artist had published a photo of his client’s hands, taking care to blur the two middle fingers in order to make his subscribers guess what the “Tomb Raider” actress had chosen. Bad idea: everyone started speculating about anti-Brad Pitt tattoos.
The artist then had to respond to the rumors (which had gained momentum in the American celebrity press) and assert that it was only two swords tattooed on the two middle fingers, and that there were no no connection with Brad Pitt. False alarm.
