At 48, singer Raphaël continues his career in singing. He released his 10th album in March: Another life. Her songs speak, among other things, of a married woman, actress… Any resemblance to a real person does not seem coincidental. However, the father of 3 boys does not usually talk about his loved one. They have also just had a third child whose first name they have not revealed. These two discreet greats met in the dressing rooms of a theater in 2002 and never left each other again.

Raphaël was a guest on the show A Sunday in the countryside, hosted this June 16 by Frédéric Lopez on France 2, and was asked about the longevity of his relationship with the actress from the films Suddenly alone And Captives. He then made some confidences, revealing the secret of their lasting love story, rare in show business: “We admire each other a lot. (…) I love his choices, I love his work and then, we laugh, really, we laugh every day.“
The one who is also a writer – he published the book Avalanche last year – explained their great complicity. “We have the same distortions of humor, saying the same stupid things at the same time. (…) Me, I never get bored“, he added without wanting to reveal too much either.
A couple who experienced turbulence
Life as a couple is not always smooth sailing and all couples know this. The two lovebirds were not always on the same wavelength but managed to agree. “I learned to be less possessive. Since we decided to give ourselves more freedom, we discovered that we didn’t take more and that it spared us tension“, revealed Mélanie Thierry in the pages of Psychologies Magazine.
The 42-year-old actress has no regrets “for having persevered during all these years when [Raphael] went out a lot. (…) It was worth it”, she confided above all that she considers Gérard de Palmas’ sidekick as “a great father“. His patience seems to have paid off and the duo is stronger than ever.
