A cube truck and a sport utility vehicle caught fire after a violent head-on collision on Route 335, killing three people and seriously injuring two others on the afternoon of Friday, June 28.
Two other vehicles were involved in this series of collisions which took place around 2 p.m. near Rue Saint-Saëns, when for reasons still unknown, a head-on impact of an unprecedented shock occurred between a cube truck traveling south and an Acura SUV, both of which quickly caught fire.
Patrollers from the Laval Police Service (SPL) and 16 firefighters from the Laval Fire Safety Service were quickly dispatched to the scene of this new road tragedy to occur in the territory of Laval, in a sector coming from elsewhere. just to be remodeled in terms of urban traffic.
Initially, emergency services confirmed two deaths, before a third victim was tragically found in the rubble during further searches of the charred vehicles.
In addition, two other victims were quickly treated by Urgences-santé paramedical teams due to multiple injuries, traumas and fractures, their state of health being considered critical.
A fifth victim suffered lighter injuries, but was also taken to hospital.
While Route 335 remains completely closed to traffic, the SPL asks the population to avoid this area at all costs.
