Florent Pagny: this meaningful object that never leaves him on tour

Florent Pagny's daughter, Ael, decided to publish a book of photos, called “Pagny by Ael” (ed. Harper Collins), available November 6. Her project was to retrace her father's 60th birthday tour, was confronted with her father's cancer.

For our colleagues from VSDthe young woman goes behind the scenes of this work, particularly when Florent Pagny must go on stage : “He has a little moment of stage fright, I would say when going up the stairs, the last ten meters before discovering the stage and the audience”she reveals. Among the singer's habits, there is meal time:
“He eats at 4 p.m., he drinks herbal tea, these are his first rituals.”

Then, there is an object full of meaning which never leaves Florent Pagny: “a crystal ball”reveals his daughter. Questioned by our colleagues from Sept à Huit, Ael Pagny spoke about the vision she has of her dad: “He’s a cool, very caring father who lets us do it. He is not strict, but at the same time he protects us from afar without being intrusive.”explains Ael who loves photographing his parents together.

“They're so cute! They're my example of a couple. I'm so happy to have parents who love each other so much and who never give up on each other”she says. As for her father's illness, she indicates: “He called it that (the switch), because when we learn of the existence of the disease, it puts a pause in our daily life. It interrupts everything we are doing and we move on to another adventure we didn't want to experience.

Ael Pagny's secrets about his education

On this occasion, she also returns to her brother,
Inca, who like her, lived between two cultures :
“We learned French and Spanish at the same time. We love being in Argentina. My mother likes to say that we are more Argentinian than she is! I can't describe what I like about both cultures, I'm so much merged them.”

Today, the young woman wants to put into images all her good memories with her father, who was hit hard by the illness but which will find its audience, notably on the set of The Voice, in 2025.
