When he announced that he was leaving the presentation of Everyone wants to take their place to devote himself to his show, Jarry never imagined that going on stage could involve such risks. The comedian indeed revealed that he had done discomfort in the middle of a show. A two-meter fall which landed him in intensive care and which could have ended dramatically.
Good news for his fans, Jarry is doing well and he is on tour throughout France. In November, he will be in Brittany before passing through Annecy and Grenoble at the end of the month. He will then perform his show Good man from Lille to Bordeaux and from Toulouse to Paris until summer 2025. Please note that some dates are already full, reserve your places now.
Superstitious Jarry
Guest of Bruno Guillon in Happy Sunday this Sunday, November 3, 2024, Jarry spoke about the little rituals he puts in place before going on stage. And the least we can say is that the comedian is superstitious. “I make a magic circlefrom my dressing room to the stage, I must arrive on an even number on the stage, otherwise I go back to my dressing room and start again. But I must necessarily arrive at an even number with my right leg, afterwards, I say a little prayer before the start of the show, and I summon all my guardian angels”.
“When you make zeniths, the dressing room is very far from the stage and when you arrive at an odd number and you have to go back…”complained Jarry, admitting that the process can sometimes be “hyper long”. Bruno Guillon then made fun of his guest who claimed that all artists have their little habits before going on stage. “Do we all do this?”

Jarry feels unwell on stage
If Jarry does everything to ward off bad luck, it seems that it is not enough. Later in the interview, the actor and comedian spoke about a dramatic event that happened to him during a performance. “It happened in Perpignan. A room of 800 people, I said 'Good evening Perpignan!' and I passed out on the people in the front row.”
A discomfort and a fall whose seriousness viewers did not immediately understand. “People applauded me when I fell saying: 'super funny'”. Jarry then explained that he came very close to disaster. “The stage was 2 meters. Then, I vomited, I lost consciousness and followed woke up in intensive care.” Fortunately, the comedian did not have any physical aftereffects from this fall, nor any trauma, since he has since returned to the stage.

Jarry: gluten intolerant
This discomfort on stage was ultimately a blessing in disguise. It actually allowed the native of Angers to discover that he suffered from gluten intolerance, also called celiac disease. To prevent such a mishap from happening again, the comedian simply had to eliminate wheat from your dietas do all people allergic to this protein.

Gluten intolerance is a condition that affects 1% of the French population. It results in bloating, flatulence, constipation and chronic diarrhea. If left unchecked, the symptoms can be truly debilitating for those affected and can even lead to more serious problems, such as intestinal cancers or autoimmune diseases. Fortunately, Jarry is warned and no longer runs the risk of feeling unwell again.
