“The Green Périgord is not well-known enough, it’s very unfair” regrets former TV presenter Maïtena Biraben

She is behind the filming of the series Murders in Périgord. Former presenter Maïtena Biraben produces the new episode currently filming in Nontron and the surrounding area. And it’s no coincidence.

The new episode of the series “Murders in Périgord Vert”on 3 is being filmed at the moment, in Dordogne. On the program, a nighttime chase scene in the middle of the city in Nontron. For the purposes of filming, the old courthouse was transformed into a police station. But what viewers will also discover are the specialties of Périgord. “The principle of the series “Murders at…”it’s a bit like the Tour de France by bike”,** explains the producer, Maïtena Biraben.

And it is close to his heart to help people discover the Dordogne. “People who watch “murders at” know that they are going to discover a region, a city, a place in France. And that’s the promise, it’s of course first and foremost an investigation, but which also allows you to discover a region with its culture, so walnuts for example, and the surrounding area.”

And if it produces a series filmed in Dordogne, it is no coincidence. Maîtena Biraben has a house in the department. “When I encountered this region, I found it so beautiful, this sublime forest, these villages. which are blond, the red roofs, the blond stones of the walls, the meadows with this incredible green and the cream cows. I was hallucinating. I found it so beautiful, but so beautiful. I really fell in love with this region.”
