“Known for its proximity to the French public and its connection with nature, it will officially mark the lighting of the 2024 distillation flame. It will also have the opportunity to participate in the various activities of this unique cultural event in France. », promises Grand Cognac, without specifying where and when the public will be able to meet and applaud Elie Semoun. According to “Charente Libre”, the symbolic lighting could take place on Friday morning in front of a still from the Hennessy merchant. The event is not yet listed on the party’s online calendar.
Visits to distilleries and cellars, exhibitions, concerts, tastings: 2e Ban de la distillation offers an all-out program, with around forty proposals, often free. In the fall of 2023, the first edition brought together around 2,000 people in brutal weather. The brewing storm led the prefecture to cancel the closing ceremony, a twilight walk and a fire show.
