January 1 saw, via a decree published at the end of December in the Official Journal, the revaluation of the resource ceilings taken into account for the allocation of family allowances in 2025, explains the service-public.fr website.
“Average annual price change”
This is financial assistance allocated to families with at least two dependent children under the age of 20, paid every month, the amount of which varies depending on the number of children and resources.
“It is the categorical net income of 2024 which will be taken into account for 2025, that is to say all income reduced by charges and tax allowances”
According to the public service website, “it is the categorical net income of 2024 which will be taken into account for 2025, that is to say all income reduced by charges and tax allowances”. The revaluation of ceilings for 2025 “corresponds to the average annual change in consumer prices excluding tobacco for the reference calendar year”.
Minimum ceiling of €74,966 for the full rate
Thus, the full rate allowance, namely €148.52 for two dependent children, will be received by a household whose resource ceiling is less than or equal to €74,966. A household with two children whose ceiling is less than or equal to €99,922 will receive €74.26 per month, and a household with two children receiving more than €99,922 will be paid an allowance of €37.14.
For households with three or four children, the resource ceilings also increase. For three children, the minimum ceiling (band 1) is €81,212 for an allowance of €338.80, and €106,168 (band 2) to receive €169.40. Beyond €106,168, the allowance paid will be €84.71.
Payment schedule revealed
In addition, the payment schedule has also been made public. Monthly allowances will thus be paid every month, generally on the 5th, unless it falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. In 2025, y = all payments will take place between the 4th and 4th and 6th of the following month. Example: this Monday, January 6, beneficiaries should receive benefits for the month of December 2024.
