If the Stade de France had been mentioned, it is indeed at the Roudourou de Guingamp that the Brestois will play the final stages of the European competition.
The Brest leaders have decided. In a press release this Wednesday, the Breton institution, through its president Denis Le Saint, explains that the club’s final stages in the Champions League will take place at the Stade du Roudourou. Once anticipated, the idea of the Stade de France was therefore abandoned, “a relocation” who appeared “binding for all stakeholders”indicates the club in the press release. Rhoazon Park in Rennes was also left aside.
As a reminder, Stade Brestois is already qualified, at least, for the play-offs of the European competition. Currently 8th in the ranking, the Finisterians even have the opportunity to finish in the top 8 and qualify directly for the round of 16, without going through the play-offs box.
“Eager to be close to his territory, the decision to continue the club’s historic Champions League campaign at the Roudourou stadium appeared obvious to Denis Le Saint”is written in the press release.
