EXCLUSIVE MAINTENANCE – Olivier Andriès, general director of the aeronautics group, considers a business-friendly policy essential to reindustrialize the country.
On the eve of an investor day, Olivier Andriès, general manager of Safran, explains that he will arbitrate at the beginning of 2025 between the three competing sites, including Lyon in France, to invest in a new carbon factory.
LE FIGARO. – What inspires you? political and budgetary situation of our country ?
Olivier ANDRIES. – It’s sad. The country has let the public debt slip away for at least thirty years. It has become even more pronounced in recent years, which is not sustainable. We are at a moment where a start is necessary. For a country to develop and prosper for the benefit of all, it needs businesses for its reindustrialization. It is necessary to have a favorable approach to their development and to understand that the value of work is essential.
