Road users who usually take Route 132 in the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge sector will have to find an alternative for their travel.
Published yesterday at 6:17 p.m.
From 11 p.m. on Friday, Route 132 will be closed between Boulevard Simard, in Saint-Lambert, and Boulevard de Rome, in Brossard. Traffic will resume at 5 a.m. Monday.
“Access to the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge will remain open, but congestion is expected in the area,” explained the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTMD), in a press release. The ramp leading to Highway 10, towards Sherbrooke, will be closed by default, from 10 p.m. Friday.
This closure is required in order to carry out repairs on an overpass, the ministry said.
Traffic will be diverted towards Marie-Victorin Boulevard. Mobilité Montréal notes, however, that one lane in two will be closed in the east direction, between 7 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. The organization recommends that motorists plan their trips accordingly.
Route 116
Other obstructions on Route 116 are expected during the weekend.
First, near Longueuil and Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, the road will be closed between exit 9-O and boulevard Seigneurial during the night from Friday to Saturday, then from Saturday to Sunday.
Mobilité Montréal invites motorists to take the Montée des Promenades exit and the Clairevue Boulevard exit to reach Marie-Victorin Street and Seigneurial Boulevard, as a detour.
Two of the three lanes of Route 116 will also be partially closed eastbound at the A-30 during Saturday and Sunday.
