After Asia and Europe, with the United Kingdom, Georgia and Turkey, the Emirati start-up OneClickDrive has decided to invest in a new continent. She chose Morocco as the starting point for her African adventure.

OneClickDrive, an Emirati car rental marketplace, is expanding its operations to Morocco marking its first foray into the African market. The announcement was made via a press release issued on Monday, June 3.

The start-up, based in the city of Dubai, is supporting its growth by investing in another continent after Europe and Asia. For its debut in the Cherifian kingdom, it launched into eight cities: Agadir, Casablanca, Fez, Marrakech, Nador, Oujda, Rabat and Tangier. Founded in 2015 by Mahesh Pagarani, OneClickDrive specializes in the rental and leasing of vehicles of various ranges, from low cost to luxury cars.

In addition to its web platform, it has a mobile application accessible on iOS and Android where it has already been downloaded more than 50,000 times, according to Play Store data. The user, after creating his account, can access the young company’s fleet of more than 5,000 vehicles.

OneClickDrive has signed partnerships with more than 250 rental car providers in the cities where it operates to ensure its 100,000 monthly customers find the right car for their diverse needs. As a reminder, African start-ups operating in the mobility segment have raised $48 million in equity capital in 17 operations, according to data from the investment fund focused on the technology sector, Partech Africa.
