Young users are making a comeback on Facebook. The Meta social network has recorded a significant increase in young adults over the past 3 years, the American giant announced in a press release.

Will Facebook succeed in overshadowing TikTok? In a press release, the social network created by Mark Zuckerberg announced that young people were returning to the platform, noting an increase since 2021.

“Facebook is still for everyone, but in order to build for the next generation of social media consumers, we’ve made significant changes with young adults in mind”wrote the RS giant.

“And with five quarters of healthy growth in app usage by young adults in the United States and Canada, more than 40 million young adults in the United States and California are daily active users, and that number is the highest in three years »the message continues.

Facebook says it has made changes to its core product to help people make purchases, find love or find work. This involved expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, with the intention of adding more advanced recommendation technology to the company’s “entire video ecosystem”, as well as its recommendations flow.

“We also made it easy for anyone to become a creator and make money on Facebook. We introduced a streamlined product called Professional Mode, designed for people who want to publish publicly and grow their following, and it reached over 100 million daily active users in 18 months.”explains FB.

Additionally, Facebook says it has changed its payment model to compensate creators based on how their content performs on the platform, “simplifying the way creators earn and expanding monetization opportunities across all formats: photos, videos and text”.
