Indexia: the CFDT calls on Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of the Economy

The local union of the CFDT of Romans-sur-Isère asks Bruno Le Maire for explanations, eleven days after placement of SFAM in judicial liquidation. In a press release published this Sunday, the union indicates write to the Minister of the Economy and invites employees and customers who feel cheated by Indexia – the “parent” company of the former Drôme insurer – to do the same.

The CFDT believes that the State has not played its role towards employees. “Bruno Le Maire has been aware of the actions of Indexia for several years. Why was there no intervention from the ministry economy ? asks the union. It is abnormal that it is the common pot that pays for liquidations.”

The CSEs of SFAM Roanne and Hubside Store write to URSSAF

Furthermore, the CSEs of two subsidiaries of the Indexia group, SFAM Roanne and Hubside Store, have questioned the president of URSSAF Auvergne Rhône-Alpes. A letter was also sent to him. We hold “to share with you [notre] incomprehension at the choice of the URSSAF to have launched a procedure against the only subsidiary SFAM Romans-sur-Isère and to have left aside the other subsidiaries of the Group and their massive debt to your organization”write the members of the CSE.

It was the summons filed by URSSAF which led to the liquidation of SFAM Romans. “URSSAF knows all the debts of the group in the broad sensecomments a member of the CSE. Why not have assigned all the subsidiaries? A global judicial liquidation would have been more straightforward. All the group’s employees could have counted on the AGS [nb : les fonds de garantie, notamment en cas de liquidation]. There, many are certain that they will receive neither their April nor May pay.”
