The Editis group announced, Monday January 6, two new promotions within its teams. Marguerite Mignon-Quibel was propelled to the management of Editions de l’Archipel, temporarily administered by Marie-Christine Conchondeputy general director of Editis, following the departure of their founder, Jean-Daniel Belfond, last July. Editorial director of Les Escales since 2016, Sarah Rigaud was promoted to head of the house founded in 2012 by Veronica Cardi.
“It’s a pleasure to promote passionate, talented and experienced women. Their respective backgrounds as well as their professional expertise will allow us to continue to promote our authors and the houses they will manage. I wish them the best in their new positions,” commented Catherine Lucet general director of Editis, in a press release.
Experienced editors
After an initial experience of seven years at Hachette Livre, Marguerite Mignon-Quibel joined Editis in 2013, where she successively collaborated with First, Gründ and Plon. Since 2018, she has worked at Les Escales as sales and development director, alongside Sarah Rigaud.
The latter joined Editis in 2005, first for foreign rights for Place des Éditeurs then for First and Gründ. She then worked as an editor at Feux Croisés and Plon, before supporting Escales, of which she took over as editorial director in 2016.
