After People are beautiful (The Arenas), Then you will never be sad again (Fayard) or All the love stories in the world (Fayard), Baptiste Beaulieu includes the ranking of best sellers of the week GFK/Weekly by taking twentieth place with his novel Where do the tears go when they drypublished on October 3, 2024 by Proche, the pocket collection of L'Iconoclaste.

The novel tells the story of Jean, a general practitioner with a peaceful life, who cannot recover from a trauma from his past which prevents him from crying. The book has, once again, met its audience with more than 100,000 copies sold in a few months according to GFK. The large format version of the same book published on October 5, 2023 by L'Iconoclaste has sold more than 99,000 copies.

From doctor to writer there is only one step

A professional doctor, Baptiste Beaulieu became famous thanks to his blog So this is where he took his first collection So there you have it: the 1001 lives of emergencies (Fayard), sold more than 60,000 copies and translated into fourteen languages. Today, the author is no longer his first attempt with around ten novels, short stories or collections of poetry to his credit. A time columnist on Inter, he addressed on the air all the questions raised in his productions around identity, sexual orientation and even the medical field.

A doctor and a cleaning lady

Another entrant of the week, The cleaning lady sees everything of Freida McFadden (City), third part of the soberly titled trilogy The cleaning lady. If this work integrates the classification at 19e place, the author is however more than a regular at the tops since her two previous novels The cleaning lady et Secrets of the housekeeper published by City then by J'ai Lu together total nearly 60,000 copies in large format and more than 850,000 copies in paperback.

Each book follows the journey of Millie, a housekeeper with a complex past, confronted with increasingly intriguing situations while serving different very wealthy families in New York.

The best sales of the week of December 23 to 29, 2024

Two new entrants this week in a ranking of bestsellers which is characterized by its great stability while awaiting the first sales of novels for the winter literary season. Fourteen weeks after its publication, The cleaning lady sees everything of Freida McFadden (City), thus rises to 19e rank, driven by the success of the first two volumes of the series currently on the two highest steps of the podium. The novel of Baptiste Beaulieu Where do the tears go when they dry (Near), after 16 weeks of operation, gains 11th place and hangs at the last minute on 20the rank you top.
