In collaboration with the National Book Center, the Salagou Cœur d’Hérault library network has been organizing “Partir en livre” for several years, a major celebration dedicated to children’s literature. This event, which takes place from June 24 to July 3offers a rich program of workshops and activities aimed at young readers and their families.

Among the key activities of this edition, the workshops led by Laurent Audouin, a renowned children’s illustrator from Poitiers, particularly attracted attention. This Wednesday, June 26, the La Cave A Livres media library hosted a creative workshop on the theme “Make your robot!” Inspired by the famous fantastic adventures of the Sacré Cœur illustrated by Laurent, participants had the opportunity to bring their own robot to life using recycled materials such as metal boxes, capsules, and pipes. It’s a fun and ecological activity at the same time, and it stimulates our children’s creativity.“, says Perrine, a mother participating in the workshop.

The success of this workshop, with the valuable presence of Audrey from the library network, only confirms the popularity and relevance of the Partir en livre program. By offering interactive and educational activities, the event promotes reading and a love of books from an early age.

Other free events will take place in the various libraries in Clermontais, allowing a wide audience to enjoy this book festival.

For those who would like to know more about upcoming activities, the full program is available on the library network website: bibliotheques.cc-clermontais.fr
