Marmottine is a little marmot to whom it is difficult not to become attached: she is naughty, clever and courageous. She is part of a family with her two brothers Marmotton and Marmottou. But, moving away from her burrow, she will experience “frightening” adventures because she did not listen to her parents' advice while adults know the dangers of life…
A story for her granddaughter
“While I was hiking with Valentine, my granddaughter who was 5 or 6 years old and is now 15, I invented this story while climbing in the Vanoise Massif,” says Marie-Claude Pailler. For Christmas, she asked me to write the texts for her and enrich them with little drawings.”
And then a few months ago, “we decided to share this story with other children. The texts are almost those of the original and I added the watercolor illustrations,” adds the author who lives in Peyrat-de-Bellac, retired after having been a French and history-geography teacher at high school.
With a format suitable for reading by parents (from 2 years old), leaving plenty of room for drawings to follow the adventures of cute Marmottine with her red bow, this book will be a hit in libraries and other bedside tables. young, like at the foot of the tree.
