Friday November 15, 2024, the students of the CE1 class of the public school of Lussac-les-Châteaux went to the media library to participate in a workshop with Claire Illouz, artist currently on exhibition at Sabline-MJC21 until the 14 December. Each child built their own book by folding it to obtain a 16-page accordion collection. Before this workshop, the students worked with their teacher to develop simple sentences from words chosen by the children.
Then they went to Claire Illouz's exhibition to better understand the concept of artists' Books. Each child wrote down their sentence, illustrated their book and decided on a title. The subjects presented were mostly around animals, but also concerned feelings and more particularly those relating to the family. Victoire even wrote down the following sentence to start her book: “ My heart beats very hard for my family. »
On Saturday, November 16, adults went to the media library to participate in the same workshop.
