A small step for humans, a big step for compulsive readers: after years of waiting, Amazon has updated the macOS version of its Send to Kindle software, finally allowing you to fill your digital library via connection USB-C. Downloadable from the Amazon site, the application allows you to send EPUB, PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, HTML, JPG, PNG files and more, without having to go through the native Kindle manager, a gas factory not known for its flexibility.

A few conditions, however, before sending your most beautiful quarterly reports to your e-reader: only the latest Kindle models are compatible with this new functionality, namely the Kindle, Kindle Colorsoft and Kindle Paperwhite from 2024, as well as the Kindle Scribe. Hoping that the brand's older models will one day also be made backwards compatible with USB sending.

On the Mac side, only Apple Silicon M1 to M3 processors, as well as Intel chips, are concerned – there is no doubt that the new M4s, equipped on the latest MacBooks and Mac Minis, will soon be invited to the party. This will undoubtedly please those allergic to Caliber…
