Kamel Daoud and Gael Faye, winners of the 2024 Goncourt and Renaudot prizes will be present at the 42nd edition of the Brive Book Fair, which begins Friday November 8. News which the organizers of the event congratulated in a press release published this Monday, a few hours after the presentation of these two prizes. “Faithful to its tradition, the Brive Book Fair, an unmissable event for the literary season, will welcome the winners of the fall grand prizes for meetings and signing sessions.” This therefore concerns Kamel Daoud, crowned for his novel Houris and Gaël Faye, awarded for Jacaranda, but also Miguel Bonnefoy who won the Grand Prix du roman from the Académie française for Le rêve du jaguar and Abdellah Taïa, winner of the Décembre prize for The Bastion of Tears.

They should be among the most sought-after authors for the signing sessions and will probably contribute to increasing the volume of book sales during this event in the city. In total, 400 authors will be present from November 8 to 10 in the Georges Brassens hall and at the Espace des Trois Provinces, with at programme literary meetings, forums and readings, as well as activities for young readers. The 42nd edition of the Brive Book Fair will be chaired by the author and critic Jérôme Garcin.
