This weekend of November 16 and 17, the Sorèze In Libris association is organizing its third book fair, in the heart of the school abbey. The choice of the theme of the year was wind, in all its forms.
On the program: meetings with authors, signings, conferences, craft demonstrations, exhibitions… All reading enthusiasts will find what they are looking for.
Over two days, around thirty authors and exhibitors (publishing, binding, illumination, etc.) will follow one another in the magnificent setting of the Cité de Sorèze. On Saturday, November 16, the show opens at 2 p.m. A literary prize presentation is planned for that day, while Lauragais schoolchildren will be presented with their prize for the competition at 4:30 p.m. At 3 p.m., Sébastien Laflorencie, professor at the Toulouse meteorology school, will host a conference on the Autan wind. The activities will continue until 6 p.m.
The next day, the salon reopens its doors at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., Pierre Jarrige will screen “Wind and aviation: gliding of the Montagne Noire”, then will host a conference on the subject. At 3 p.m., the show's guest of honor will be signing. Olivier Le Carrer, navigator and journalist, will talk about his many adventures, and his book “Navigating the paths of the wind”.
