For three days, the Brive book fair, which has become the second literary fair in France after that of Paris, welcomed several renowned Ariège authors. Georges-Patrick Gleize, published by Calmann Lévy, is present to meet his readers, accompanied by Nicole Chappe, published by Geste, and Nour Malowe, author living in Dalou, whose award-winning work deals with the lives of Afghan women. Claire Destriau, originally from Couserans and author of detective novels at De Borée, completes this Ariège delegation.
This unmissable event attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year, who come to discover new literary releases and exchange with writers from all walks of life. The stands of the major literary prizes, notably those of the winners of the Goncourt and Renaudot prizes, are particularly popular.
The Brive book fair continues to demonstrate its dynamism and importance in the French cultural landscape, offering an exceptional showcase for authors and a special moment for literature enthusiasts.
