From Thursday November 21 to Saturday November 23, a new edition of the Youth Book Fair will take place in the village hall. The theme is “In search of books”, with guests Jean-Christophe Tixier and Sophie Laroche.

Jean-Christophe Tixier was a high school and adult education economics teacher for nearly twenty years. He started writing at the age of 38, with a family story “La Rosalie1”. After the publication of this one, then of several short stories, he released, in 2010, his first novel, “Dernière station”, thanks to which he won the 2010 VSD detective grand prize (readers' prize). He also writes scripts for comics, children's and youth literature and won numerous awards with “Ten Minutes to Lose”. He is one of the creators of the Polar Fair, member of the Charter and the House of Writers and Literature.

Sophie Laroche is the mother of three children. After years of journalism, she devoted herself to writing, mainly for young people. We owe him in particular “Camille and company (T 1). L'envahi'soeur”, illustrated by Marie Olé (2016, novel for ages 8 and up); “The Investigations of Anatole Bristol. Anatole against Arsène Lapin” (2015, album for ages 9 and up), followed by “The Investigations of Anatole Bristol: ghost, lies and rice pudding”, illustrated by Carine Hinder (novel from 9 years old), and “La Colo des cafoutus”, illustrated by Adeline Pham (novel from 8 years old). In total, around twenty books for children, including, for adolescents, the novel “Sauve-qui-peut” and also “Le Carnet de Grauku” which she wrote to help adolescents who feel bad about their body, without being moralistic: the lightness and seriousness of his novel are enough for the message to be understood by young readers.
