Used books at low prices, that’s the bet of this book sale. For several years, the Hambach genealogical association has organized this book fair. Thousands of books, resulting from donations, are sold between €0.50 and €2, enough to make some people happy.

Arranged by theme in plastic bins, books from all periods and literary styles are just waiting to be read. Francis comes specially from Stiring-Wendel to find new books.

We always manage to find small bargains. For the moment, I have 5 or 6 books, but it will end with around ten, to wait for the next grants.

Anaïs came with her children to refresh their library at home.

We are fond of books, and we like to renew our collection, and since the children grow up quickly, we try to change them regularly, and for the price, it’s nice!

The main advantage of this scholarship is the attractive price of the works. Laura has three detective novels in hand and continues to look for the rare gem.

Since I like to read a lot, I can’t buy books all the time, since they cost a lot. There, it’s the opportunity to discover books that you don’t necessarily look for in stores, because you’re not necessarily attracted to that style, whereas there, you look and discover other styles.

The aim of the event is precisely to offer books at discounted prices, in order to avoid throwing them away. René Weislinger is the president of the genealogical association of the village.

It was initially done so that people could buy books at very low prices. When we know that today a book costs between €20 and €25, it is not within everyone’s reach. What we want is to give a second or third life to each book, and above all not to end up in the trash.

Young and old, enthusiasts or amateurs, everyone was able to find what they were looking for through the pages of these second-hand books.
