The competition began on Wednesday in the capital of Tajikistan.

Victory for Chinese Hui Xinran in the -48kg category

The Chinese Hui Xinran skillfully beat the Japanese Yoshino Sachiyo using a sacrifice technique to win the -48kg title.

“My goal is to become an Olympic champion. So I will take it step by step and continue to give my best in each competition. I may win some competitions and lose others, but I don’t focus on that, I will continue to pursue my dream to make it a reality.”says Hui Xinran.

“When I arrived in Tajikistan, I was touched by the warm welcome the people gave me. I really like Tajikistan, the accommodation and everything that happens here. Everything is wonderful”adds the champion.

Vladimir Bartachief sports director of the International Judo Federation, presented the medals.

Second world title for Fukuda Yamato

Fukuda Yamatoreigning junior world champion, wasted no time in his final. He threw then pinned the Tajik Loiq Kudbudinovaged 16, to become a double junior world champion.

“The food is very good in Tajikistan and we are honored to participate in such an event in such a location. I am very happy that we were able to participate in this competition”said Fukuda Yamato after his victory.

The medals were presented by Ismail Mahmadzoirpresident of the Judo Federation of Tajikistan.

Two all-Japanese finals

Oh Iroha beat his teammate Nosho Senju in the -52kg final.

It is Florin Daniel Lascaudirector of refereeing of the International Judo Federation, who presented him with his gold medal.

Fukuchi Shuntaro also faced a compatriot in the final. His opponent, Kentoku Kairiwas disqualified after using his head to perform a throwing technique, allowing Fukuchi Shuntaro to win the -66kg title!

A great first day for the Tajik judokas
