Mariana Mazza takes us into the heart of her adolescence with her new book

After a first opus which was a great success, Mariana Mazza continues the story of her personal story and takes us into the whirlwind of adolescence with “Rivière-des-Prairies”. The go-getter Mariana we love so much begins to emerge, while inner upheavals multiply. It’s going to heat up.

Started with Montréal-, a vibrant tribute to her childhood, to immigrant families, to teachers and to the places that punctuated her journey, the writing process of this plural artist seduces us again, this time through the prism of adolescence. A moving, entertaining and unifying book, because it addresses unifying themes: everyone will recognize themselves in this portrait of high school life, the search for identity and great firsts (gang of friends, jobine, love, kisses , party, drunk, sexual experience, car, etc.). These new adventures plunge us into the emotional turmoil of Mariana seeking to find her place, to discover herself. With disarming authenticity, the author revisits her memories which she delivers in the form of intimate stories, little gems imbued with truth and raw emotions. Far from the artifices of the stage, she reveals an honest and true young girl, hypersensitive and endearing. And a little drooling, too…

The luminous and refined pen of Mariana Mazza has already seduced readers and critics with her first biographical story and her articles in La Presse, not to mention her chronicles on the set of Bonsoir bonoir which are always a hit. An ardent ambassador of literature, the one who will be at the helm of a literary show next year has this unique ability to transform each anecdote into a captivating story, finding resonance in each of us. A reading encouraging us to revisit our own memories at a pivotal moment in life, which casts a wide net and hits the nail on the head.
