The selection committee of the 7e edition of the prize for internal freedom, launched in 2018 by the team of the show Le Journal du Seigneur (France 2), unveiled its first selection, made up of seven titles. The name of the winner will be known on September 11, during an award ceremony organized at the La Procure bookstore, in the VIe district of Paris.

This year, the jury is chaired by Anne Le Maître, 2023 laureate for Such a great desire for silence (Deer) and is composed of Céline Guillaume, Thomas Jobbé-Duval, Bernard Senelle And Thierry Hubert. For the second year in a row, a partnership with the national prison chaplaincy will allow prisoners throughout France to contribute to the selection of the winner.
Sponsored since 2023 by the writer Alexandre Jardinand in partnership with France TV, RCF radio, La Procure and West Francethe distinction rewards an essay for the general public as well as a testimony, a novel, a theater or even a biography focusing on spiritual values.
