After a first edition in 2019 and a second in 2022, the book fair organized by the Esprit Livre association is back. If for the first two editions, the event took place at the Espace culturelle de la Chênaie in Toufflers, this year you will have to go to the Salle Desmulliez in Lys-Lez-Lannoy, this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

21 authors including 14 new

In total, 21 authors will be present to meet the public, do signing sessions and share their world. “ Among them, 14 were not there the last time and for those who return, we ask them to have a different literary activity to avoid it being repetitive » reports Mélanie Vanhove, president of the association. With Anne Théréné and her book Cat stinks on the theme of school bullying, Jérémy Piquet who will exhibit his works based on snails to talk about ADHD (attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity), the Wattrelosian boutique BYMANGASHOP, the publishing house Evasion éditions and many other authors, various styles and subjects will be represented. “ With the Olympic and Paralympic Games, we wanted to integrate a theme linked to the event. Pascal Sergent, a cycling specialist, will be present to discuss the subject and Patrick Talom, a sports author who plays wheelchair rugby and who will speak on sport and disability. », Develops Mélanie Vanhove.

Workshops for children

There will also be workshops for children with a bookmark workshop with the Lire à Lys association, as well as a calligram workshop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a French teacher: “ There will be three prizes awarded for the best three calligrams. The jury will be made up of the authors present and the results will be given towards the end of the event », specifies Mélanie Vanhove. All of the calligrams will also be on display throughout the day.
