The imaginations of science, new collection of books
Descriptive text here

The imaginations of science. This is the name of the new collection of books from Dunod editions. This original collection talks about science through iconic science fiction works. Works that speak to everyone and which, for some, have marked their childhood.

For example, “Discover the primate in us with “Planet of the Apes””… “Love a robot with “Blade Runner”” or “Encounter life elsewhere with “Alien””… These three books make up this new collection of books .

“Meeting life elsewhere”, with Alien

Arnaud Cassan is a lecturer at Sorbonne University and an astrophysicist. His specialty is exoplanets. In his book, “Meeting Life Elsewhere with ‘Alien’,” he addresses many questions about science based on Ridley Scott’s classic film. This question provides an overview of the current state of scientific research on subjects such as extraterrestrial life.

The book also raises questions about interstellar travel, its limits and possibilities. We also discover exoplanets and other worlds. And other themes such as communication and civilizations are covered.

Between science and science fiction

A collection of books, to approach science in an original way, with a touch of science fiction. Whether it’s “Alien,” “Planet of the Apes,” “Blade Runner”… Here’s a new scientific style that will accompany the curious, why not on vacation this summer.
