The third edition of the Campus show opened its doors this Tuesday, May 6 in place of the African Souvenir. Initiated by 100% Campus, an information and support platform for young people since 2012, this meeting which extends over two days is looming as a privileged space intended for exchange, training, and the orientation of young people, while highlighting their potential.
Under the theme “education, innovation and future: to build together Senegal of tomorrow”, the fair aims in particular to inform and make young people aware of contemporary issues of education, entrepreneurship, digital, environment, and health. According to Salimata Zaia Diallo Guèye, director of operations at the show, this theme “resonates particularly in the current context”. Faced with current technological, environmental and social challenges, Ms. Guèye underlines that “education remains the key to meeting these challenges and transforming our societies”.
The event plans to welcome more than 800 participants and organize themselves around large conferences, exhibitions and direct discussions between stakeholders and participants. Thus, during these two days, participants will have the opportunity to discover innovative projects, attend conferences led by experts, participate in interactive workshops and establish precious contacts in the academic and professional world.
As for the choice of the place of African memory as a site for this event, Salimata Zaia Diallo Guèye explains that this symbolic place pays homage to their ancestors and their fight for freedom and dignity. She adds: “It is here, in this place steeped in history, that we affirm our commitment to education a lever for sustainable and inclusive development for Senegal and for all of Africa”.
