The Quebec striker Tristan Lemyre will continue his journey in the NCAA with the State University of Minnesota in Mankato, after a significant season with Western Michigan.
Author of 14 points in 42 games, Lemyre was an important cog in the conquest of the very first national championship of the Broncos history, crowned by a brilliant victory of 6 to 2 against Boston University during the grand finale of Frozen Four last April.
Originally from Quebec, Lemyre made his debut in the LHM18AAAQ with the Vikings of Saint-Eustache in 2017-2018, his last season in Quebec hockey before taking the road from the West. He then distinguished himself in the junior ranks with the Bombers of Flin Flon (SJHL) and the Fighting Saints of Dubuque (USHL), where he exploded offensively with 29 goals and 50 points in 57 games, establishing personal heights.
Passed through the University of Denver before joining Western Michigan, Lemyre impresses despite the fact that he was never recovered. His transfer to the Minnesota State University in Mankato represents a new opportunity for this versatile player, when a professional career could soon be envisaged.
