Good news for the training center of Olympique de Marseille: Milan Leccese was selected in the French U17 team to compete in the Euro in Albania, from May 19 to June 1. The announcement was made this Tuesday by the French Football Federation.
The 16 -year -old attacker has already been called eleven times this season by coach Lionel Rouxel, with two goals. He is one of the 20 players selected for this 41st edition of the tournament.
The Blueberries will start their gathering on May 12 in Clairefontaine, before flying to Albania on the 16th. They will evolve in group A, alongside the host country, Germany and Portugal. The first two of the group will qualify for the semi-finals.
Laccese last weekend found the OM U17s and scored when he returned. He should be able to compete in the last day of the championship, either with the U17s in Castelnau-Le Crès, or with the U19s against Nice, according to the needs of the club and the calendar of the French team. On the other hand, he could miss part of the final stages of the U17 championship, for which OM is already well placed.
